Da es am Kugelkopf der Gewindespindel sitzt, ist das Prisma beweglich und kann somit am Werkstück genau fixiert werden. Es kann einfach vom Kugelkopf abgezogen und ausgetauscht werden.
Das Prisma ist in verschiedenen Materialausführungen erhältlich.
Das Prisma Polyamid wird bei kratzempfindlichen Oberflächen eingesetzt.
Das Prisma Edelstahl wird bei kratzunempfindlichen Edelmetallen eingesetzt (Rostvermeidung).
